Kelsey Scott

Kelsey Scott and I have been friends for over a year. We met in a funny situation that was actually awkward for everyone involved but somehow we managed to turn that awkward feeling we were experiencing into a great friendship. We ignored the awkwardness and became good friends. She is one of those girls that if I have a secret I don't want anyone else to know I tell her, or if I need advice she is one of the few people I can go to that I actually care what their opinion is.

We dated best friends last summer so we were literally together all the time. I guess I owe a big thank you to those two guys for causing Kelsey and I to become such good friends. We have so many hilarious memories together. Like going to the lake with each other, hiding in a closet, and doing just normal everyday things that we made entertaining. Also we went to prom in a group together. We went in a small group but the fact that Kelsey was there made the night that much better.

I see Kelsey and I being best friends for a very long time. I know literally everything about her and she knows the same about me. Even though I am going away to college next year I have no doubt her and I will stay close. I don't know what I would do without my friend. I love her.

Anna Rose Stover

Anna Rose Stover is my little sister. We are ten years apart but we are really close. From the time I can remember I have always wanted a sister, so once I found out I was going to have a sister I was hit like a bus with a mixture of emotions. I was excited but also kind of nervous, what if I wasn't a very good older sister, I didn't really like to be around kids 24/7 either. But soon I found out, once you have a little sibling its different when they are your own family.

Over the years I have tried to be the best sister I could possibly be. Her and I are actually really similar in some ways and in other ways we are totally different. For example we are similar in the fact that she is sensitive but tries to hide and also, its kind of funny, from the time I was about 6 until 12 ish I would fall running up the stairs and she started doing that this year. We are also different in the fact that I am naturally athletic and she is not the most athletic little girl ever be she is so creative in other ways. She loves art and writing stories and playing musical instruments. She also is a lot like me in the fact that she likes to please other people. She tries to be a lot like me sometimes. For example she tries really hard to be good at volleyball and she is actually pretty decent for her age. Another way she tries to be like me is I dyed my hair brown once for a few months and when I went back to blonde she cried for days and begged my mom to let her be blonde because she "wanted to be like sissy and mommy". Also when we went to Florida every time she wanted to go on the adventure of a roller-coaster she would look at me to see if I "approved"

Honestly Anna is the best sister I could ever ask for. We do favors for each other and we cover for each other. I try to teach her how to act when she is older and she always comes to me for advice. Every night before she goes to bed, if Im home, she knocks on my door, peeks her head around the corner, comes in, gives me a hug, and says "goodnight your the best sister in the world I love you". She is literally the best sister ever though. I would do anything for her anytime. If I ever didn't have her it would not be okay at all, I don't know what I'd do without her, or the rest of my family.

Morgan Renee Daugherty

Morgan Daugherty, I dont even know where to begin with this girl. She is one of the most caring sensitive girls I have ever met, but if you get on her bad side you better watch out because she has a mean side (kinda). Mine and her friendship is also one of those funny cases where in 8th grade I would have never imagined being friends with her, we were just from totally different groups, but in some mysterious way when Lindey and I reconnected in Freshman year she invited me to Morgans Birthday Party after we had hung out a few times. I couldn't decide if I wanted to go, I had rarely ever talked to Morgan, but hesitantly I decided to go to her party. Later I found on Lindey had convinced Morgan I was a "brat" anymore and she was right. Morgan and I became friends after a few months, we both were hesitant about each other for the first little while. But Im happy to say we are best friends now.

I have learned lots of things about Morgan but one of the most interesting things is that she is fantastic at writing poetry and it is her venting system she just writes and writes and it all turns out in a perfect poem, she is amazing at it. Its like the words just flow out of her and I'm completely jealous. She also is very athletic and extremely competitive, which is something we have in common. Also she isn't afraid to be her crazy silly wild self. She is a little strange at times, but I think everyone is and she is just one of those people who isn't afraid of showing it once you get to know her.

Morgan has some interesting nicknames associated with her one of which being Morgana others which are probably not school appropriate so ill just leave them out. but anyways she is one of the few people I don't get annoyed with if I hang out with for long periods at a time. We have been almost inseparable since her birthday party with a few exceptions, but of course after those exceptions we instantly went back to being inseparable. If one of us had to stay home for some reason the rest of us would stay with them just so we could all be together and we did everything together during the day.

She's also always there if we need someone to talk to about literally anything. Her and Lindey are the best friends I could ever ask for. Yes we have our fights just like normal highschoolers do but the older we get the more we need each other. Its not the same when we all aren't friends - which is rare but it still isn't the same. I honestly believe we will all be friends for a very long time. I used to take friends and lots of other things for granted. But you definitely shouldn't. You never know what the future holds.

Lindey Brooke Herrick

L.B. - Lindey Brooke

I met her in 7th grade. We had one class together and isn't it funny how fast first impressions form. Me and her within the first few minutes of meeting each other instantly disliked each other. She thought I was a girl full of myself and I thought she was some random girl with glasses who I disliked for no reason. Basically we knew nothing about each other and already had a dislike for one another, little did we know that within that month we would become good maybe even best friends.
After this the years continued to follow suite. Of course we got into fights occasionally but we were together almost all the time so who wouldn't. We stopped being friends for awhile during 8th grade until about the middle of freshman year when somehow we reconnected. Little did we know that we would soon become inseparable again. The summer going into Sophomore year we were attached at the hip, along with one of our other friends Morgan, who I will write about when its her turn. But anyways we all hung out every day. We even took our first road trip all alone together that summer to Salina to visit Lindey's dad.

Lindey was also there for me for my very first homecoming. We went in a semi small group but of course all of the mom's wanted millions of pictures so it took forever to get out of there and then our reservations actually got messed up so we had to adjust on the spot and ended up going to a japanese steak house by Lindey's boyfriends house. While it wasn't exactly what we planned on, it ended being even more of a blast. The food was delicious and we still had plenty of time to make it to the dance. That night was one of the most fun memories from high school still to this day.

Lindey and I have been through so much together. These stories don't even being to touch all of the stuff we have been through together, good and bad. She is my best friends and I don't know what I'd do without her. We are going on being friends for 5 years, next year not seeing her all the time won't be the same. Don't ever take your friends for granted because its not always a for sure thing they will be there. I'm very blessed to have Lindey.

Introduction

I started this blog because it was an assignment in my Writers Workshop class - for those of you who don't know, Writers Workshop is a writing class that you can take in high school, it gives you time to write about things you want while also fueling your skills by giving you specifics to write about.
Anyways, none of my friends blog or anything, Facebook and twitter are the closest things to that, but I have always found them interesting and I always considered starting one, I just never knew what I would write it on. But after watching Julie and Julia I discovered its no necessarily what you right about that makes the blog special. Its all about what your love for writing meeting your love for something else. And if you enjoy writing well then you should have a blog about whatever you want.
I decided to do my blog on two things I love, my friends and family, and of course writing. I don't know where I would be without my friends and family so its only fitting that I write about them. They have been there for me through a whole lot. And over the years I have learned never take anyone for granted.
